As Hayden White puts it, when describing a historical situation or analyzing a historical event the use of narration is different from that of telling a story, if it is used at all, it brings this idea to the mind that it depends on “whether the primary aim is to describe a situation, analyze a historical process, or telling a story”. When the primary idea is the representation of history in the form of narrative the role of ideology is highly significant; on the contrary if we put ideology aside from historiography we simply come upon the scientific and explanatory accounts of history. In narrative history, the hints of the author’s ideas and his imagination are distinct, in this way of narrating history, the author of the historical narrative besides dealing, more or less, with the main trends of historical events manipulates a secondary plot of events. In this research, the techniques used in the narrative history and the devices used by the authors are analyzed and discussed.
