The objective of this work is to study the effects of SiO2/Al2O3 ratios in HZSM-5 and Fe-ZSM-5 catalysts on the catalytic oxidation of toluene. Catalytic tests were carried out inside a U-shaped fixed bed reactor under atmospheric pressure and different temperatures. The results showed that, with an increase in the SiO2/Al2O3 (from 14 to 400, molar ratio), the catalytic activity decreases especially in HZSM-5 catalysts. The catalysts were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM).
