Preparing representative groundwater hydrograph (RGH)
is an important and effective step in estimation of the storage capacity
and groundwater budget as well as the optimum management
of water resources in an aquifer. Now, in Iran, RGH is calculated
using classical Thiessen polygon method (TPM) whereas
the interpolation methods with higher precision are available. This
study compares the results of TPM, usual Kriging and fuzzy Kriging
methods to explore their precision in estimating the groundwater
unit hydrograph. For this goal, Gillan plain characteristics by
high resolution and dense piezometric network are examined. In
our presented approach, uncertainty of data along with the usual
Kriging method is modeled by fuzzy calculations. The results indicate
that fuzzy Kriging has a greater precision in comparison
with usual Kriging and Thiessen polygon methods although fuzzy
Kriging is more complex and time-consuming.
