A review of the effects of Ferula from the umbelliferae family

جنسFerula داراي 133 گونه و از گياهان چندساله است. اين گياه متعلق به قبيله Peucedaneae و زير شاخه Apioideae, و خانواده Umbelliferae مي باشد كه به صورت خودرو رشد ميكند و در سراسر خاورميانه و آسياي مركزي پراكنده شده است## [1]. Ferula sinkiangensis يكي ازمهمترين گونه هاي تيره Ferula مي باشد كه به طور عمده در منطقه Xinjiang چين رشد مي كند و براي درمان سنتي اختلالات معده و روماتيسم مفصلي استفاده مي شود## [2]. چندين گونه مانند Ferula gumosa ، Ferula latisecta و Ferula asafetida در ميان مردم براي درمان درد معده ،هيستري ،كوليت نوزاد و آسم استفاده مي شود## [3 ]. مطالعات فارماكولوژي مدرن خواص ضد باكتريايي و ضد زخم معده و ضد التهابي اين گياه را اثبات كرده اند## [ 2]. شيمي اين گياه قبلا مطالعه شده و تنها چند كومارين ترپنوئيد تا به امروز شناسايي شده است. به طور كلي گونه هاي Ferula منابع غني از ترپنوئيدها و لاكتون ترپنوئيدها شامل موفولانس، هيماكالانز ،گيانز و... مي باشند## [3 ].

The genus Ferula has 133 species and is a perennial herb. It belongs to the Peucedaneae tribe and the Apioideae subtype and the Umbelliferae family which grow wildly and spread across the Middle East and Central Asia. Ferula sinkiangensis is one of the most important ferula species that grows mainly in the Xinjiang region of China and is used to treat traditional gastric disorders and joint rheumatoid arthritis .Several species such as Ferula gumosa Ferula latisecta and Ferula asafetida are used to treat stomach pain hysteria infantile colitis and asthma. Modern pharmacology studies have proven the anti-bacterial، anti-ulcer properties and anti-inflammatory properties of this plant . The chemistry of this plant has already been studied and only a few coumarin terpenoids have been identified to date. In general Ferula species are rich in terpenoids and lactone terpenoids including morpholence, hemacalans gianas and others.
