چكيده فارسي :
This research intends to discuss Jean-Francois Lyotard’s concepts of multiplicity of ideas and show how this concept applies to a range of areas that affect daily life. It is to be shown that Ly- otard’s concept of multiplicity of ideas tries to shape a postmodern world with tolerance and ac- ceptance of diversities; the world which treats all as equal.
The research intends to show that Lyotrad’s concept of multiplicity of ideas rejects universalism, conventionalism, idealism, totalitarianism, dictatorship and absolutism about norms and stan- dards. It argues how Lyotard’s concept of multiplicity of ideas connects to a postmodern utopia which is characterized by ideals of autonomy rather than authority and, following from this, of individual liberties, including freedom of thought, speech and action.
