The main focus of this paper is to present an effective numerical method for solving integralalgebraic
equations (IAEs) of index-3, which appear in many phenomena in physics and engineering.
The method is based on Legendre wavelets, which reduces an index-3 integral-algebraic
equation to an algebraic system of equations in collocation. The accuracy estimation of the
method is investigated and a numerical example presented to confirm the accuracy and computational
efficiency of the method.
