In this paper, we analyze the properties of anti-atoms in the lattice of quasi-uniformities. In particular, we shall show that in the lattice of quasi-uniformities the description of anti-atoms is difficult and we use their dependent ultrafilters to describe them. We also characterize those anti-atoms of the lattice of quasi-uniformities that do not belong to the quasi-proximity class of the discrete uniformity. Finally we calculate the number of anti-atoms that exists on an orbitrary set
