In this paper, we propose a new nonstandard finite difference scheme (NSFD) to solving
a mathematical model of the influenza disease. Our proposed scheme preserves the positivity
of solutions and elementary stability of the equilibrium points. We provide some numerical
comparisons to illustrate our results.
