An effective synthesis of various biologically important 2,3-dihydroperimidines from reaction of aldehydes and naphthalene-1,8-diamine has been developed using Nano-gama-Al2O3.SbCl5 as an efficient solid acid. Th is method is a very simple and high yielding reaction for the preparation ofperimidines. Th is method provides a simple synthetic route to classes of heterocycles in excellent yields at short time.
