An investigation into code-switching among multicultural learners interactions

This article shows the code switching patterns in friendly trilingual conversations between classmates,. The present research introduces the concept of codeswitching such as it is used in the literature. This presents an overview of studies on codeswitching. Since the 1990s, researchers have examined several issues related to teachers’ and learners’ use of code switching in the foreign language classroom. Implications may be drawn for language teacher education programs and for further research on systematic investigation into actual classroom practices
