چكيده فارسي :
The purpose of this paper is to perform an in-depth analysis of and to draw a comparison
between two ESP textbooks designed to be used by students of tourism and hospitality. The first
textbook is “English for International Tourism: Pre-Intermediate,” a course written by Iwonna
Dubicka and Margaret O’Keeffe and published by Pearson Longman and Dorling Kindersley in
2003. The other textbook examined here is a single-level course entitled “English for the Students
of Tourism and Hotel Management.” This book was written by Gholam-Reza Kiany and Maryam
Khezrinejad and is a 2004 product of an Iranian publisher: SAMT. The evaluation criteria are
approach and methodology, language skills, language components, choice of topics and content,
and finally layout and design. All in all, the first book did better than the second one in the review
by all the criteria applied.
