Full adders are one of the most important elements in digital circuits. Thus providing an optimum design of these elements will help to significantly improve their output. Capacitors and resistors are considered to be destructive elements in designing circuits as they cause an increase in power consumption, delay and power-delay and in total all circuit parameters are out of optimal state. Therefore, it is better the two elements are not used in the designing process.
In this paper, we present a CNTFET-based full adder and examine the effect of varying tube numbers and diameter on delay and power.
In addition, simulation results obtained using HSPICE software at 0.9 V have been presented. Results showed a significant improvement in power and delay parameters compared to previous designs.
