مقوله امنيت از جمله نيازهايي است كه در بالاترين سطح نيازهاي انساني قرار ميگيرد و تقريبا در تمام شرايط زندگي انسان اثرگذار بوده و بدون امنيت امكان شكوفايي استعدادهاي افراد جامعه و حتي زندگي و فعاليت ميسر نخواهد بود.گسترش روز افزون شهرها و ناديده گرفتن محله هاي تاريخي در هر شهر باعث شده كه ساكنان محله هاي قديمي به محله هاي ديگر رفته، كه اين نقل مكان نهايتا باعث گرديد كه محله هاي قديمي در شهرها از كيفيت پايين تري برخوردار شوند و شاخص امنيت در چنين محله هايي به شدت پايين بيايد. غار سنگتراشان جهرم از جمله مناطقي است كه با مشكلاتي كه در بالا ذكر كرديم مواجه است و امروزه امنيت اين محدوده بدليل شرايط نامناسب غار سنگتراشان دستخوش تغيير شده و شرايط زندگي كردن در اين منطقه بسيار سخت شده است. وجود محلات قديمي و آثار تاريخي در هر شهر جهت شناخته شدن يك شهر نقش مهمي داشته و اين الزام را بوجود مي آورد تا به بررسي و حل مشكل چنين محله هايي اقداماتي صورت بگيرد. در اين تحقيق سعي بر اين است كه با رويكرد CPTED به شناخت اثرات و عواملي كه امنيت در غار سنگتراشان را پايين آورده و همچنين عواملي كه مي تواند امنيت غار سنگتراشان را ارتقا دهد با روش تحقيق تحليلي-مقايسه اي مورد مطالعه قرار گيرد.

The category of security is one of the needs that are at the highest level of human needs. And without security, it will not be possible to flourish the talents of the people, and even life and activity. The increasing expansion of cities and the neglect of historic neighborhoods in each city has led residents of the old neighborhoods to go to other neighborhoods. This shift of location ultimately leads to a decline in the quality of the old neighborhood, and the security index in these neighborhoods falls sharply. Sang Tarashan Cave Jahrom is one of the areas that is affected by such problems. The security of this area has undergone a change due to unsuitable conditions in Sang tarashan Cave, and the living condition in this area is very difficult. The existence of old neighborhoods and historical monuments in each city plays an important role in the recognition of a city and it creates a requirement for action to be taken to investigate and solve the problem of such neighborhoods. In this research, the CPTED approach attempts to find out the effects and factors that have reduced the security of sangtarashan cave. Factors that can enhance the security of sangtarashan cave are also studied by analytical-comparative research method
