Acrylic resins are of interest because of their exceptional transparency and optical properties. They are excellent In terms of transparency, translucency, surface glossiness, and resistance to weathering and possess high surface hardness and superior design usability. So these resins have wide applications as vehicle interior materials, exterior materials for electronic equipment, and construction materials, regardless of their internal or external usage. Water-based emulsion and mini-emulsion polymerization are of the most important polymerization methods that used for production of polymers such as poly-acrylic and poly-methacrylate, and their copolymers. Polymerization process In this two methods are very complex and depends on various parameters such as rate of radical production, emulsifier concentrations, connection between surfaces of monomer droplets and Polymer, penetration rate of different compounds existed in reaction, temperature, type of initiator, etc. For these reasons, major research efforts in the future could focus on the optimization of these parameters to achieve an acrylic resins with best quality.
