رايانش ابري مبتني بر اينترنت است كه در آن سرورهاي مجازي به ارائه خدمات مي‌پردازند. مهم‌ترين قابليت مجازي سازي، تخصيص خودكار منابع در زمان‌ها و مكان‌هاي مورد نياز، به كاربران است. رايانش ابري با كاهش هزينه‌ها، انعطاف پذيري و قابليت توسعه بالايي كه ارائه مي‌كند به يكي از جذابترين فناوري‌هاي روز دنيا تبديل شده است. از آن‌جايي كه محاسبات ابري در محيط باز به اشتراك گذاشته مي‌شوند حفاظت از كاركرد ابر و امنيت داده‌ها و حفظ حريم خصوصي كاربران در اينترنت يك مسئله بسيار مهم محسوب مي‌شود. ريشه اين نگراني‌هاي امنيتي، ماهيت مشترك بودن خدمات ابر و عدم كنترل فيزيكي است. اين موضوع بر اساس اين تفكر است كه براي كمتر بودن احتمال خطر، بايد تجهيزات و داده‌ها در مالكيت كسب و كار قرار داشته باشند. امنيت محاسبات ابري، زيرمجموعه‌اي از امنيت كامپيوتر، شبكه و حتي اطلاعات است كه مجموعه‌اي از خط مشي‌ها، تكنولوژي‌ها، و كنترل‌هايي است كه براي حفاظت از داده‌ها، برنامه‌ها، و زيرساخت مربوط به رايانش ابري استفاده مي‌شود. در اين مقاله بعد از معرفي اجمالي رايانش ابري به بررسي راهكارهاي امنيتي در اين زمينه پرداخته‌ايم.
