In this research, we consider a complex production process as a part of a supply chain controlled by pull production controlsystems, and through simulation experiments, we study the effect of randomness in processing times on the system performance.The system performance under each control mechanism is evaluated with respect to the average work-in-process (WIP) and thesystem throughput.
