In order to finding the fluid properties from aspect of maturity, in petroleum engineering before significant production of oil reservoir, the power of the reservoir hydrocarbon generation must first be specified. Typically, the assessment of hydrocarbon source rocks is performed via geochemistry studies. In this way, there are some various approaches which it can be referred to Rock-Eval 6 analysis as the most common way. It can be obtained the data, for instance, hydrocarbon index, the maximum temperature, and total organic carbon by the approach that using them can do the study of geochemistry of the source rocks. In this regard, this research has done the geochemistry investigation of located Binak and Maron wells in Dezful embayment of Kazhdumi formation. After data analysis using Rock-Eval 6 apparatus, it was revealed that in both there is Kerogen type 2. Maroon well is better than Binak is in hydrocarbon generation potential and Maron well locates in maturity degree and oil production window.
