The invation of dust and small particls to cities and areas of the world has become a crisis which seriously endangers human health and the environment. Drought, erosion caused by wind and desertification caused that particles of dust with adiameter less than five micron covers very long areas by wind and desert storms, it makes dust phenomenon and creats extremely critical conditions in cities. Cities and villages in the western zagros region are no exception of this environmental challenge. And those are extremely influenced it. Many of Researchers and Scientists know that the ecological changes in Iran, Iraq, Turkey and Syria are the main cause of this phenomenon. In recent years the influx of these oarticls to Khoramabad city has created problems at the social, economic, environmental, physical and spatial levels. Among these, public spaces are more exposed to this environmental challenge due to the high level of social and human interactions. Compatibility of public environmental whit dust problem is essential in order to create safe spaces in the future ahead. In this regard indicators of the public environments in particular and in general, in the context of increasing the vitality and desirability of air quality, the establishment of respiratory lungs of the city, the appropriate morphology. Have been extracted by field studies, quantitative and qualitative data and theorical contend and these were analyzed and evaluated to measure adaptation of public spaces with dust phenomena based on the results of the research, it is possible adapt public spaces with this phenomena to a considerable extent by use of artificial (hydraulic, human- made) and natural (ecological elements) methods. To become in the future as safe and secure places in cities.
