Osteoarthritis or knee osteoarthritis is one of the most common articular diseases in humans. Its clinical manifestations are pain, swelling and decreased joint function. Alternative and complementary therapies have a long history of treating the disease and are even used as a selective treatment under certain conditions. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of herbal oil of Nela Arthro on clinical improvement of knee osteoarthritis patients. 225 patients with primary knee osteoarthritis were studied over 12 weeks. Nela Arthro oil was taken 3 times daily by patients and pain variables (based on VAS-100mm) and function (based on WOMAQ questionnaire) were measured at intervals of 0, 6 and 12 weeks. Pain at rest in weeks 6 and 12, and a significant decrease significantly. Pain during activity also decreased in the treatment group at weeks 6 and 12 was acceptable. According to the findings of this study, consumption of Nela arthro oil compared with other products was significantly associated with a reduction in pain in knee joints.
