Lithium tetraborate (LTB) nanoparticles (NPs) were synthesized via a wet chemistry method at different value of PVP
(0.009, 0.018 and 0.027 mol), under variety of temperatures (500, 600, 650, 700, 750, 800, and 850 0C). Thermal stability of
LTB-NPs were done by TGA, DTG, and DSC. The formed crystal structure of LTB-NPs was characterized from XRD. They
showed tetragonal phase with preferred (112) orientation with an average size of 4.85nm. The band gap of the powder was
obtained in the visible range between 5.2 and 5.4 eV. LTB-NPs demonstrated indirect allowed transitions. The results
demonstrated acceptable blue shift, highly monodispersed, and desirable particle size by 0.027 mol of PVP and 750 0C.
