Previous studies have shown that organic and inorganic semiconductor materials are the most suitable materials for the design of thermal sensor [1]. In the present paper, we report preparation of hydrothermal synthesis of ZnO/CdO nanoparticles [2] and chemical synthesis Polypyrrole (Ppy)/ZnO/CdO nanocomposite in which Ppy decorated with ZnO-CdO nanoparticles using Ammonium Persulfate (APS) as oxidant. In addition, the structure and morphology of these materials has been investigated using SEM images and EDS and XRD analysis. The average size of Zno/CdO was 68 nm. Electrical characteristics of semiconductor pellets also reflects the nature of the sensor. moreover, the activation energy of ZnO/CdO nanocomposites was calculated. ZnO/CdO nanoparticles and Ppy/ZnO/CdO nanocomposite spin coated on interdigited electrodes were used as thermal sensor. Results show improvemement in sensitivity, selectivity, response and recovery time of the Ppy/ZnO/CdO nanocomposite thermal sensor in contrast to ZnO/CdO nanoparticles at room temperature and without heating system
