Title :Systemic review of exercise and some breast cancer outcomes Author: z. Yazdanpanahi, F. Ghaidar, A. Nematolahi, Address: Shiraz university of medical sciences, school of Nursing and Midwifery Background: Physical exercise is the most important intervention to improve quality of life in women with breast cancer. We evaluated the effects of exercise on breast cancer survivor and their quality of life. Material and methods: we had don systemic review on the effect on exercise on breast cancer patients by using related search engine such as: MEDLINE, EMBASE, CINAHL, PsychINFO, CancerLit, PEDro and we reviewed the article that have been studied psychological distress and quality of life , fatigue, weight gain, premature menopause , cardio respiratory fitness or physical functioning . Result: Some researcher shows that the advantages of regular exercise for all outcomes were positive, although the significant differences were not seen in all variables. Several studies have pointed that exercise resulted to “statistically significant improvements in quality of life as assessed by the Functional Assessment of Cancer Therapy”. Exercise also has effects on physical functioning and increasing oxygen consumption, therefore, has an effect on reducing symptoms of fatigue and improve cardio respiratory fitness. Some researchers stated that in the exercise group: we have seen physical functioning, general health, vitality and Mental health increased but not significantly. Conclusion: Exercise have a great impact on recovery and improve some outcomes on breast cancer .There for exercise should considered as one of the care plans in breast cancer patients and encourage them to follow regular program.
