Let A be an adjointable operator on a Hilbert C module E. In this paper, we present some necessary and sufficent conditions for existence of the Moore-Penrose inverse of A when R(A) and R(A^*) are orthogonally complemented. After that, we apply our results to determine the solutions of some equations.
