Jojoba plant [Simmondsia chinensis (Link) Schneider], so called miracle tree is a dioecious and multipurpose plant with 50% of waxy oil in the seeds. In this investigation, the genetic diversity of a jojoba population including 25 individual plants were studied using 5 primer of molecular markers (ISSR) in Kerman province of Iran. The total DNA of all plants were extracted according to modified CTAB method and the DNAs quality were tested by agarose gel electrophoresis and spectropotometry. The resutls of of ISSR molecular markers analysis by Gene Tools, Excel and NTSYS softwares indicated 96% polymorphism between plants of this population. All Jojoba genotypes were classified in 5 different groups by cluster analysis using Jaccard similarity coefficient which showed high genetic variability between individuals of this population.
