Balance is one of the integral components of almost all daily activities and it is critical success factor for the performance of athletes and non-athletes. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of core stability training program on static and dynamic balance of physical education students. 24 students of Islamic Azad University of Zahedan (age: 22/78 years, weight: 68/22 kg, Height: 1.75 cm and a body mass index: 22/29) voluntarily participated in this study and they were divided randomly into two groups: experimental and control. At the onset of the study, the dynamic balance, static balnce and core stability were measured by Y test, stork test and some field core stability tests, respectively. Experimental group performed the Exercise training protocol(bridges with marching, bicycle, bilateral leg lowering, static abs, …), three days per wk for 6 weeks. At the end of sixth week, subjects performed the second Y test, stork test and core stability tests. Data analysis was performed using independent T-test. The results showed that there were significant differences between dynamic balance in the experimental group in the medial (P= 0/018), static balance (P= 0/021) as well as the overall balance score (P= 0/016 ) compared with the control group and only in the posterolateral (P= 0/161) and anterior (P= 0/311) there was no significant difference. Also in some core strength and endurance parameters such as Sorensen test (P= 0/013), trunk flexion (P= 0/012), bridging the abdomen (P= 0/109), bridging right side (P=0/019), bridging the left side (P= 0/069) and around the thigh (P= 0/061) were significantly increased. The results showed that core stability exercises can improve the static and dynamic balance and endurance and strength of core. So stabilizing exercises can be used to improve balance and increase strength and endurance of core.
