Alzheimer s disease is the most common degenerative disease of the nervous system in the elderly. Tau is protein that connected to microtubule, which is found mainly in the nervous system. Tau protein plays an important role in the protection, stability, connection development of microtubule and microtubule morphological structure. Including damage of phosphorylation of tau protein, Alzheimer s disease can be noted. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of phosphorylated tau protein 8 and 12 weeks aerobic exercise on plasma levels in elderly females. For this purpose 20 elderly women living in nursing homes Bojnoord city aged between 60 and 70 years, were randomly and based on MMSE test divided into experimental (n = 10) and control (n = 10) group. Aerobic training was conducted for 8 and 12 weeks, 3 days per week with 50-70% HRR, for 60 minutes (1). Blood sampling were done in pre-test, 48 hours after last session in 8th week (mid-test) and 48 hours after last session in 12th week (post-test). Plasma levels of phosphorylated tau protein were measured using ELISA method. Data analysis was performed using an independent t-test and repeated measures at a significance level P˂0.05.The results of the independent t test showed that the phosphorylation of tau protein levels in elderly women at different stages of research, there is no significant difference between groups(p 0/05) The derived results from the analysis of variance with repeated measures showed that the level of significance (p 0/05) there is no significant difference between the average phosphorylated tau protein in different stages of testing.. Johnson et al (2016) During the research on persons with Alzheimer concluded that the concentration of protein, phosphorylated tau dissolved in cerebrospinal fluid by 16 weeks of moderate and high intensity exercise unchanged in these individuals. Their findings suggest that the possible impact of exercise on cognition in people with Alzheimer s disease was not due to beta-amyloid modulators, total tau, phosphorylated tau protein and Sapp species. on the other hand According to Richter et al. (2008) stated that the level of phosphorylated tau protein in Alzheimer s subjects is associated with exercise intensity, It is likely that the intensity and duration of exercise in order to make significant changes in the levels of this protein is not enough.
