The purpose of this study was to the identification and prioritization of anthropometrical, biomechanical and physical fitness-motion parameters of elite young boys in 50m butterfly swimming .33 elite young swimmers (mean ± SD: age 11-12 years; height 1.557 ± 0.085 m; weight 50.73 ± 19.53 kg) performed an all-out 50 m butterfly swimming. Results showed that supraspinatus fat (8.70 mm), Subscapularis fat (8.80 mm), triceps fat (9.09 mm), hand length (17.67 cm) and foot length (25.89 cm) are the best important anthropometrical parameters; elbow hyperextension (4.24 ̊̊), ankle plantar flexion (6.70 ̊), neck extension (40.33 ̊), hip hyperextention (40.33 ̊) and neck lateral bend right (41.82 ̊) are the best important biomechanical parameters; action and reaction velocity (21 cm), left hand strength (25 kg), flexibility (26 cm), right hand strength (26 kg) and height jump (power) (33 cm) are the best important physical fitness-motion parameters of elite young boys in 50m butterfly swimming. We recommended that this study to be considered by authorities, practitioners, educators and parents because of achieving optimum performance and better results without wasting time and energy and financial resources. Therefore, Iran Swimming Federation, provincial swim committee and swim schools staffs and parents are advised to use our results for swimming talent identification.
