Abstract
In a broader context, one can name two models of humanities: The Transcendental Humanities and the debasing Humanities. These two models of human sciences differ from one another in multiple areas, aspects and levels including in epistemology, anthropology, ontology, cognition, and axiology. The present problem is being pursued in the paradigm of transcendental humanities. In the transcendental humanities, based on the epistemological system that governs it, human action is divided into ‘good’ and ‘bad’ categories. Based on this, the main problem of this paper is to determine the real extent of one’s action and its reflection in the transcendental humanities. It seems that the Holy Quran, in which transcendental humanities are deep rooted in its teachings, has classified the effects (positive or negative) of actions (political, managerial, economic, hygienic, cultural, individual, social, family, etc.) in three axes 1. The effect of actions on each other; 2. The effect of human action on himself, his family, and on his destiny in this world and in the hereafter. 3. The effects of human action on ecosystem and the entire world around him. Accordingly, in the transcendental humanities, human actions have three types of influences that are presented in an analytical-document analysis method. On the contrary, in the debasing humanities, first, it seems baseless to divide actions into ‘good’ and ‘bad’ or ‘legitimate’ and illegitimate’ categories. Secondly, the extent of human action is one-dimensional, limited to himself and his surroundings, and maximum to this transient world which will expire with one’s death. If the sublime teachings of the Qur an become the basis for critique, reproduction and construction of sociology, political science, economics, education, jurisprudence and law, psychology and other branches of the humanities, the typical human sciences will be promoted to the transcendental humanities and can better play its role in the engineering and management of society. Furthermore, such humanities will develop, strengthen and consolidate the spirit of faith, hope and responsibility of a contemporary man.
