The aim of this research is to enhance the dynamic mechanical properties of polypropylene (PP)/ short carbon fiber (SCF) composites using exfoliated graphene nanoplatelet (xGnP). At first, the graphene nanoplatelets were coated on the fiber surface by facile physical absorption method and then the composites were manufactured by melt blending and hot press processing. The amounts of SCFs and xGnPs were kept constant at 15 wt% and 1 wt% respectively. Results of dynamic mechanical thermal analyses (DMTA) showed an enhancement in the storage modulus and damping capacity for treated composite samples; however, no significant difference was observed in the glass transition temperature.
