Observational Test of General Relativity in Highly Eccentric Detached Pulsating Binary KIC 3858884

In moderately massive and eccentric binary systems, when separation of the component is low enough, the strong gravitational fields of the components causes deformation of the nearby space and hence periodic displacement of the line of apsis. In this research we have estimated period of apsidal motion for the highly eccentric binary system KIC 3858884 using eclipse time variations of Kepler telescope data as U_obs = 74725.32566yr, and then compared it to theoretically calculated apsidal rate U_Theo = 738172330yr, the results indicate once again a rather good agreement between the theory and observations hence verification of the theory.
