چكيده فارسي :
Whole Genome Sequencing is an effective tool base on biotechnology laboratory process that provides rapid identification and characterization the complete DNA sequence of an organism’s genome at a single time, with high level of precision and accuracy. Biotechnology emerging methods like Whole Genome Sequencing technology have the potential to serve important role in the area of food safety for tracing of foodborne diseases and finding the source of contamination. WGS applications in food safety management, provides opportunity for enhanced integration of foodborne pathogens information from other sectors, such as human and animal, could contribute to enhanced consumer protection, trade facilitation, and food/nutrition security. Although WGS has potential value in food safety management system, consideration on key benefits and potential drawbacks of WGS in food safety management such as potential of interpretation of laboratory data in the context of epidemiological evidence, implementation in multiple sector, data sharing in national and global level, proper information technology infrastructures and cost is necessary in both developed and developing countries. These are some challenges for globalization of this method.
