Studies on Metamaterial and its applications

Metamaterials are now being utilized in an amazing variety of electronic applications. Metamaterials are new artificial materials with unexpected electromagnetic properties which are not found in naturally. All natural materials such as diamond ,glass and such, have positive magnetic permeability, electrical permittivity and an index of refraction. In these new artificially fabricated materials, the interesting feature is that parameters like double negative (DNG), negative index materials (NIM) or media or backward wave (BW) media ,left handed (LH) materials, are all negative. With these unusual material parameters, meta material are now being utilized in new kinds of miniaturized antennas and microwave devices which can be created for the wireless communications . The aim of this review is, to introduce meta material and their applications .The most important thing that needs to be discussed ,is the properties of the meta material and the various development within the meta material.
