Investigate the effects of Drought Stress induced by Polyethylene Glycol on Morphological and Physiological Charactristics in Commercial Of Almond varieties (Prunus amygdalus .L) Abstract In order to study the effects of drought stress induced by polyethylene glycol (PEG) on almond varieties and their growth potential factorial experiment in a completely randomized design with three replications (10 plants per plot) in 2015 at the Horticultural Research Station Seed and Plant Improvement Institute usingt he seeds of five varieties of almonds (Shokofeh, Markona, K13-40, Supernova and Texas) with 3 levels of osmotic stress (0, 4 and 8 times) from polyethylene glyco in controlled conditions was carried out. The results showed that stress increases the concentration content of proline, electrolyte leakage and yellow leaves and also reduces the relative water content, chlorophyll content and plant height. Based on the results obtained, K13-40 and Texas varieties were Sensitive and Shokofeh moderately resistant and Marcona and supernovae varieties were more resistant to drought stress than other varieties.
