چكيده فارسي :
The combustion of solid waste, produce a wide variety of pollutants such as Dioxins (PCDDs) and Furans (PCDFs). These toxics are the most toxic chemicals known. This paper has described a brief introduction of physic-chemical properties, combustion gas filtering systems, sampling and analysis of PCDDs/ PCDFs in flue gas emissions. These toxic compounds are varied in physical and chemical properties concerning number and position of chlorine replacement. A number of technologies are available for removing or destroying PCDDs/ PCDFs from combustion gases. The accepted method for sampling and analysis of PCDDs/PCDFS from stationary sources is US-EPA Method 23. Sample is collected from the flue gas stream isokinetically and the compounds of interest adsorbed on sorption cartridge (XAD-2) and glass fiber filter. These toxic chemicals are extracted and analyzed by gas chromatography high resolution mass spectrometry (GCHRMS), this reliable and sensitive method has been successfully applied by researcher and scientists in the last decade.
