Artificial leg limbs performance has Impressive improved over the past 20 years along with the development
of carbon composite prostheses. Runner leg prosthetic is one of them that disabled athletes can run in the tournament
using it. Flexibility and light weight is their most important properties that are achieved from carbon fiber composites
mechanical properties. The goal of this research is to build a sample of a carbon legs prosthetic. For the design and
optimization of artificial carbon leg the finite element method (FEM) is performed using traditional software ABAQUS.
Three samples of the artificial leg is prepared for the mechanical tests. The tests is performed in two cases including flat
pressure and toe pressure in the laboratory conditions. Comparing the FEM results with experimental data shows good
agreement between the results.
