In this paper, we presentes continuous time linear vaccination-based control strategy for a SEIR disease model. A control strategy with vaccine failure is applied to control presented model. The control objective is the asymptotically tracking of the removed-by-immunity population to the total population while achieving simultaneously the remaining population to asymptotically tend to zero. The vaccination strategy is based on a continuous-time nonlinear control law via an exact feedback input-output linearization approach. Also this paper applies the sliding mode control to a SEIR epidemic while a sliding control system is designed
