Objective: The aim of this research is comparison of emotion regulation, psychological capital and altruism in patients with coronary heart disease and without Methods: The research design is descriptive and ex-post facto investigation. The research population contains all patients with coronary heart disease referred Fatemeh Zahra hospital in Sari during 1393 that among them 50 individuals selected by accessible sampling method and responded cognitive emotion regulation, psychological capital and altruism questionnaires. To compare these patients, 50 individuals from their fellows and affiliates selected and matched. For data analyze we used SPSS20 and independent T-test Results: The findings showed that there are significant differences between patient and non-patient in emotion regulation (P<0/025) and its components, psychological capital (P<0/001) and its components, and altruism (P<0/001) Conclusion: According to the findings, we can conclude that emotion regulation, psychological capital and altruism have an important role in emerge of coronary heart disease
