Considering the point that the existences of heavy metals in the waste water are so dangerous for the environment and there would be so many bad consequences for all the creations including humans , it must be tried to use the ways that we are capable of adsorbing these heavy metals.In order to accomplish this goal we use one of these ways which is called adsorbing. In this study the adsorption of Copper ions in hydrated copper nitrate (Cu (No3)2, 3H2O) aqueous solution on vermiculite was investigated.Removal of Cu (II) from aqueous solution through adsorption on vermiculite,under batch equilibrium experimental condition at pH 2-7 has been investigated.The results showed that increasing of pH increased the adsorption ability of vermiculite.Optimum conditions for adsorption were determined as pH=7, vermiculite dose=3gr.The concentration of metal ions were measured by atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS).The result indicate that vermiculite with the particle size (1-3mm) are appropriate for adsorbing copper io
