In recent decades, use of botanical insecticides as alternative to synthetic pesticides has been
developed. In this research mortality half-life determination of nanocapsulated essential oil of
Artemisia husskenechtii was investigated against stored product insect, Tribolium Castaneum
Herbst, at 27±1°C, 65 ± 5 %R. H under dark condition. In this study, persistence or half-life time
of the nanocapsulated essential oil was significantly longer than A. husskenechtii oil. These results
demonstrated elucidate the suitability of nano-encapsulated essential oil as an insect control agent
in organic food protection.
