Failure in dual phase (DP) steels has been extensively investigated in the last decade. Experimental procedures have
shown that failure has a ductile pattern especially under uniaxial tensile tests. Experimental findings have shown that failure due to
rupture in high cycle fatigue (HCF) has a different pattern compared to the uniaxial tensile test. In this research, micromechanical
experimental method is employed to investigate the failure patterns in dual phase (DP) steel under HCF and uniaxial tensile loading.
For this purpose scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and metallographical images of the specimens are taken to investigate the
failure and deformation pattern in the microstructure of dual phase steel.
