Samples of the study were 47 EFL Iranian teachers who were selected randomly from different institutes of Kermanshah, Iran. In order to gather data of the study, Basic Psychological Needs Questionnaire (Evelein, Korthagen, Brekelmans, 2008) and the Engaged Teachers Scale (ETS) (Klassen, Yardley, Durksen, 2013) were administered. To analyze the data, Pearson product moment correlation was run. The results of correlation analysis demonstrated that there was a significant and positive correlation between the two variables. Based on the results of the study, it seems that teachers were quite engaged with their work and committed themselves to teaching English. Pedagogical implications of the study will be discussed .
