Removal of acid gases, such as CO2, from natural gas is essential for commercial, safety and environmental protection that demonstrate the importance of gas sweetening process. Ionic liquids (IL) have been highly demanded as a green solvent to remove acid gases from sour natural gases and capturing CO2 from flue gases. In this work, to model the solubility of CO2 in fourteen ionic liquids, namely, ([emim][eFAP], [emim][EtSO4], [emim][OTf], [emim][Tf2N], [bmim][BF4], [bmim][PF6], [hmim][PF6], [hmim][Tf2N], [omim][PF6], [omim][Tf2N], [HOemim][BF4], [HOemim][OTf], [HOemim][PF6] and [HOemim][Tf2N]), chemical equilibria is simulated based on the flash calculation algorithm and using Cubic-Plus-Association (CPA) EoS. For all of the studied IL-CO2 systems and using literature’s temperature-independent binary interaction coefficient (k_ij) and other EOS parameters, the overall percent average relative deviation (ARD%) was found to be 5.7 is resulted
