Iranian EFL Learners Attitude towards the Use of Technology in Relation to their Motivation, Anxiety, and Achievement

This research study aimed to identify the Iranian EFL learners attitudes towards technology use in relation to their motivation, anxiety, and achievement. To identify what Iranian EFL learners’ attitudes are towards the use of technology as well as whether there are significant relationship between EFL learners attitudes towards technology use with motivation, anxiety, and achievement, three Likert scale questionnaires, the Pupil s Attitude towards Technology Questionnaire (PATT), Motivation Questionnaire, and Foreign Language Classroom Anxiety Scale (FLCAS) were administered to a sample of 72 EFL learners in BA levels in Islamic Azad University, Mashhad, Iran. High percentages of participants for each item of PATT questionnaire indicated that Iranian EFL learners generally have a positive attitude towards the use of technology in educational and pedagogical circumstances. Pearson product-moment correlation revealed statistically significant but moderate correlation between EFL learners attitudes towards technology use with motivation (r = 0.23, p .05) anxiety (r = -0.31, p .05) and achievement (r = 0.44, p = .05).
