از آنجا كه در صنايع انرژي كشور مطالعه وتحقيق اندكي درخصوص ارزيابي ريسكهاي مرتبط با تكنولوژي شده وبا توجه به اينكه اين صنايع ، صنايعي حياتي و تكنولوژي محور است وتحولات تكنولوژي بر عملكرد آن اثرات بنيادين ميگذارد واز طرفي روند تحولات تكنولوژيك در حوزه هاي مختلف صنعت واثرات آن بر چشم انداز صنعت كشور عامل مهم و تاثيرگذاري ديگري است كه ميبايد در تبيين چشم انداز مطلوب صنعت ايران مورد توجه قرار گيرد لذا اهميت بررسي و ارزيابي ريسكهاي تكنولوژي مورد استفاده در صنايع انرژي به منظور دستيابي به مزيت رقابتي با صرف هزينه هاي قابل قبول براي تكنولوژي ها و همچنين ارزيابي اين مورد كه آيا بكارگيري تكنولوژي مربوطه مطلوبيت و كاربردپذيري را دارد يا خير؟ و يا از طرفي تكنولوژي كسب شده ما را به بهترين كيفيت يا بيشترين سود مي رساند ؟ و آيا متضمن كمترين خطر براي سلامتي نيروهاي انساني شاغل و غير شاغل و همچنين موجب كاهش اثرات زيست محيطي مي باشد؟ و اينكه آيا تكنولوژي استفاده شده منسوخ بوده و يا اينكه چه زماني منسوخ ميگردد؟مهمترين هدف تحقيق دراين مقاله، رسيدن به يك مدل ويا تكنيك علمي به منظور انجام بسيار درست ودقيق تجزيه و تحليل وارزيابي ريسك تكنولوژي در شركتها و همچنين ايجاد ابزار مناسب و كارا جهت ارزيابي دوره اي ريسكهاي تكنولوژي بكار گرفته شده ويا تكنولوژي هاي پيش بيني شده دراين صنايع به منظور بهينه سازي كيفيت وهزينه وكاهش ويا حذف ريسكهاي نشأت گرفته از تكنولوژي مي باشد.نتيجه پياده سازي اين تحقيق يعني ارزيابي ريسك تكنولوژي پس از برگزاري جلسات مشترك با مديران ارشد، كارشناسان و خبرگان برخي شركتهاي انرژي علي الخصوص شركت ملي گاز ايران، ضرورت بررسي رابطه بين تكنولوژي وريسكهاي بوجود آمده از بكارگيري تكنولوژيها و با ابزار ارزيابي FMEA را نشان ميدهد.
