Engineering the morphology and characteristics of Transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) especially well-known MoS2 is the essential challenge due to their unique properties and favorable applications[1-3]. This work is focused on enhancing the exposed edge sites and defects of MoS2 for catalyzing Hydrogen Evolution Reaction (HER). The novelty of this procedure is the facile preparation of stable and efficient MoS2 nanoflakes / FTO noble metal-free and non-toxic electrode directly and removing the need for the binder for hydrogen evolution.
