Qualitative study of groundwater resources using chemistry software (Case study: Yazd-Ardakan Plain) Today in the world, water and water resources are one of the main pillars of sustainable development. The problem with many dry and semi-arid regions, in addition to water shortage, is the inadequate water quality. A very important issue in surface and ground water studies is the determination of water quality for various activities in agriculture, drinking and industry. In this research, groundwater of Yazd-Ardakan plain was evaluated qualitatively using Chemistry software. For this purpose, water samples taken from 40 water sources including 23 wells, 14 aqueducts, 1 springs and 2 semi-deep wells were analyzed for 5 years. Schueller diagram drawing showed that most samples have a very unpleasant quality to a good quality. Also, based on the Wilcox diagram, most of the waters are located in the C4S4 class (very high salinity and very high sodium), and in the Piper triangular diagrams, the samples are clustered upright, indicating the sulfate and chlorine aqueous bridges and high soluble salts Calcium and sodium are in the water of this area. The results of the survey in this area indicate the existence of geological formations affecting the quality of groundwater that has caused water salinity. According to the results, changes in the quality of the chemical, a trend towards undesirable water wells drinking and farming.
