Code-switching (CS) is generally defined as switching between two languages or language varieties during a single conversation. Accordingly, the present study aims to investigate the attitudes of students towards teacher’s English-Persian CS behavior in UMSU. To achieve this goal, a questionnaire including 20 items in 5-point Likert scale questions was distributed among 107 students who were passing their first general English course. To analyze the data, SPSS software, version 16 was used. The Findings indicated that CS was an acceptable phenomenon from students perspectives. Accordingly, most of the students agreed with teacher’s CS behavior to elaborate the points, directing the students, improving the atmosphere of the class, etc. But they believed that it may not be very effective in class management. This study can help EFL and ESL teachers to elaborate deeply on their teaching style, and plan their actions in classroom environment regarding their students’ needs.
