New methods for repair and improvement of pavement cracks

Pavement is inevitably one of the most important parts of roads and highways, on the other hand it is considered one of the costliest actions in road construction projects. Each year a large sum of money is spent on pavement design and construction in order to provide safety, comfort and tranquility of travelers. Road pavement gradually deteriorates and degrades over time and it requires immediate repair, failure in overtaking repairing procedures will result in high expenditures on road pavements each year. Effective improvement and sealing of pavement cracks will considerably increase the lifespan and efficacy of road pavements. This action is done in order to prevent the penetration of water into underlying layers, thus persevering the load-bearing and stopping the surface from degrading. In this article new and various methods of pavement repair and improvement are presented and discussed
