Road Network Routine Skid Resistance Measurement Methods for Iran

More than 12 different Road Network Routine Skid Resistance measurement Methods and devices are currently being used in practice in different countries. There is no fixed skid resistance measurement method in the countries of the world. Each of the devices uses different measurement principles which have different speed, accuracy and characteristics. Since more than a third of accidents occur on wet roads surfaces in the world and causing many life and financial losses annually therefore, it is important to identify the most efficient and cost-effective policies for measuring skid resistance in Iran. Unfortunately, so far, this issue has not been addressed in Iran.
