In the present paper we study quantum phase transition (QPT) and entanglement by using the generalized concurrence as an entanglement measure and thermodynamic functions such as magnetization, particle number and particle susceptibility in a spin-1 Heisenberg model with three spins. It is shown that the quantum critical points signaled by magnetization, particle number and particle susceptibility are exactly coincided by the generalized concurrence.
